art is art is art....

as far as art goes there are many forms of it. my favorite, obviously, is the photographic form. there is also painting, sculpting, drawing. all the ones that you normally think of. but art comes in so many other forms.

there is music, when played so perfectly that your mind can see a clear image of what the music is portraying. or you can see a clear picture or scene play out right behind your eyelids.

there is dance, dancers can make any song their own simply by the steps they use. in any of these forms the interpretation of art can be taken differently by different people.

unless the artist give a solid image for the viewer to keep, the possibilities are endless to what the viewer comes up with! its a beautiful thing when it can be interpreted so many different ways!

of course the one form of art that can't be construed too many ways is writing. in some cases writing would not be considered an art form, but i think that when done properly writing is one of the best forms of art out there! a writer can take their reader on endless journeys, there are ups and down and feelings and places that the reader wouldn't normally sense. back to my first sentence, there are different ways that a writing can be taken, but when you are reading a novel there is really only one direction that the reader can take, and that is whatever way the writer wants you to feel.

i'm sure you are wondering whats brought all this on. i know, my blogs are always this deep and meaningful...... *insert eye roll* i love to read, when i have time. it seems i have less and less time these days. but sometimes you get a book that takes you to all those different emotional states and takes you to such wonderful places that you just want to stay lost in it forever! the book that i am now refering to is Twilight. since its now a huge phoenomenom i'm, naturally, just now getting on the wagon! i seem to be late on those sorts of things!

anyways, i knew once i got through the first chapter that this book would suck me in. and in the first chapter not much happens! but Stephanie Meyer has a wonderful gift for writing that just pulls you in!

now i'm a bit further into the book and i find myself thinking about it constantly! its such a wonderful love story, and i'm a sucker for love stories, that i'm constantly wondering what will happen next! on top of that the love interest is an interesting, intelligent, strong, sexy vampire! i, again, am a sucker for the supernatural type stories like this! for example Harry Potter is on the top of my list of great novels!

as i am now totally obsessed with the Twilight series, i will tell anyone who will listen that, at least the first one, is a GREAT book!! (thats the only one i've read so far)
i'm looking forward to the movie to come out in November, i'm almost overly excited actually! plus i love the actor that is playing Edward.

i must go read more now because i know whats coming... and i cant wait to get to it!! :)
