doing: debating what to start on first at work.
feeling: tired. this whole week i've been almost exhausted throughout the whole day!
listening to: haven't decided that either...

the past week has been fairly uneventful.

Ethan's been doing better about sleeping in his own bed the whole night! which is nice for us, cause we dont have to share our bed! also because, well, he just needs to sleep in his own bed!

he's gotten his potty trainging down to a T (sure we still have occasional accients). but now i'm just waiting and hoping that he'll start sleeping through the night without having any. since you can't really teach that its just a waiting game. of course he HAS to have juice before bed. we've been giving him just a little bit, but he still manages to pee everywhere! we have had a couple nights though that his pull up is still totally DRY! this morning was one of those times! i try to make a huge deal out of it, because it is, and so hopefully he'll get that into his brain.

Ethan's also still growing and learning every day. sometimes he'll say something and i just stare at him and wonder where in the world he learned that! i love it though, he's so smart - sometimes too smart. he's figured out that Matt only listens to me half of the time... so if i tell him no he'll just turn around and ask Matt the same question, and half the time Matt tells him yes. we're working on that - with Matt not with Ethan......

he likes watching IPTV in the mornings, which i love because all those shows are so educational! he loves loves Super Why - which is how he learned his alphabet so well! and he knows like every big machine known to man because of the Mighty Machines videos. thanks Canada for those..

in other news. today is friday - thank goodness! - our June has been slowly filling up and getting more busy. i'm almost all the way caught up on wedding albums (yeay) and as of right now our sessions are almost all caught up. i need to get back in the flow of session - edit - pretouch - print/send ... becuase once seniors start up full swing its all me, and i'm out of practice!
we've booked 3 weddings for June 2011! which is odd to us because we only have 1 wedding this June! but also good that we have dates booked out this far ahead! makes us feel good! now we just need our Seniors to start calling for this year and we'll be set!

well, i suppose i should do some work...

Baby Boy = 3!

today is my baby's birthday!!

its been a fast 3 years! i don't want him to get any older! i want him to be a baby forever!!!! but, hes grown and is learning so much that i just can't keep wishing that! i'm excited to see what the next year brings! playing soccer in the summer? learning to swim? pre-school! (oh, tiny panick attack)! he can't be my baby forever! i just hope that God will bless us with another little one soon so i don't go mad watching my first baby grow up too fast!!!

i am in the process of making his birthday cake! and when Matt comes home this afternoon we are headed off to the Zoo!! tonight is his party! i just hope he has an enjoyable day! he's been telling me he doesnt want a party or anything.. but i think he's coming around! like any good little boy-he wants his presents!!!

wondering.... where the hell Jeff even went!! i just realized he hasn't been here for like 10 minutes!!!

i just have an awesome story about my little man. Ethan's almost 3 and it still amazes me that he can learn and grow so much in such a small amount of time! i think that maybe you just don't notice it until one day it hits you that-MAN, when did he start doing that?!?!

we were having dinner last week and Ethan was inhaling his applesauce(yes, my child doesn't eat "real" food much anymore) and Matt says, "Ethan, would you like to have a little brother?" Ethan say, " no. " "well what about a sister?" " no. " So i say, "what about another kitty?" " well... no." Matt, "what about a puppy??" " no.... but what about a WHALE!??! or a shark!!??"
Matt and i looked at each other and burst up laughing! apparently a brother, sister or extra small pet is nothing, but man if we could get a whale itd be great!! he said it with such enthusiasm! it was awesome! where did he come up with whale you might ask? no idea. but i am glad that my childs got an imagination!


those of you that have kids know what an amazing, and sometimes random, element children bring to your life! and those of you who don't have kids yet, just wait! its the best!

my next exciting project is Ethan's 3 year birthday party! i can't believe that 3 years ago today we didn't even know him yet! it seems like forever ago, and yet just like it was last week! i'm so excited for his birthday, yes i am-and always will be- one of those moms with a themed party and a cake and hats and the whole 9 yards!! i love it! and i know that he loves it, so it makes it better! Matthew... doesn't love it.... but he doesn't say anything... as long as i don't spend our life savings!

okay, back to it.

where am i?: winter seminar. i sat down too long on my bed and talked to Megan so i can't make it back up to hospitality. i'm a lame-o i know.


just a heads up.. this blog will be totally about my son!!

as every mother will tell you, their child is the smartest and cutest.... ever! so i will begin by saying just that!! Ethan = cutest and smartest!!

we've always sang ABC's to Ethan since he was little and a little while after he turned one he pretty much was able to sing it himself. along with that we've also been counting with him and helping him learn his numbers. he's gotten colors down fairly well by now and he knows every freaking truck known to man!!

but just in the last few months he's really gotten all of these things down very very well! he can now sing the entire alphabet on his own. and he can count to 11 and to 20 with a little help! he's started putting longer and fuller sentences together and his colors are pretty solid!

i'm always amazed with him and with what he learns.... sometimes its too much for him and it just gets him in trouble... but learning none the less.
the other night we ate dinner with my parents and he put his hands together to pray and while we were saying the prayer he was jibbering the words with us.
then he puts his hand up-as to start making the sign of the cross- and says "Amen". i almost cried.
he catches on to things so quickly and as a 2 year old NEVER forgets things like trucks or busses or a forklift. its random, but he remembers every time we drive by!
he's recently gotten excited about schools. when we drive by West i've told him twice that it's "Naynay's school" (Daniel's school), and now whenever we drive by he tells me whos school it is. also that he wants to GO to school.... i told him he'll learn about numbers and letters and colors and animals.... oh and dinosarus. and he will tell ANYONE that'll listen that when he goes to school THATs what he'll learn!!


i just wanted to share how totally proud i am and also amazed, every day, at how much information he can retain in his mind! he's just a flat out amazing kid. i'm incredibly lucky in every aspect when it comes to him. sure sure, i want to scream at him sometimes... but he's a boy and he takes after his dad. what can you do!

okay, i need to sleep. i'm in DM until Tuesday so i'll have a bed to myself until then! it'll be wierd to not wake up to a tiny had on my face... or feet in my ribs!
i'll miss every second!!
