feeling: clouded, dazed, not 100% with it -- but all in a very good way!
this week we found out we are expecting our second child! i took the test on Saturday and confirmed it with the doctor on Monday. we've been trying for quite awhile, since the end of last summer. i was basically to the point of not expecting much. i've taken so many tests in the last 8 months that it just didnt phase me anymore to get a negative. but this time was different!
naturally Matthew told me he already knew (thanks for the heads up know-it-all!).
we are both overjoyed!! our family will finally be completed! we've always wanted to have 2 kids. 4 is our magic family number! neither one of us can decide if we want a boy or girl this time. of course we'll be happy with either one!!
to make it better my due date is October 23.... Ethan's was October 22! the bad part of this is that i'd rather have my kids birthdays spread out... much more!! the good is that all my maternity clothes i've kept will work again this time around! and if we have a boy, all of Ethan's clothes i've kept will work again too!
today - February 23 - i am 5 weeks. (you wont see this for a couple more weeks though! we need to tell parents first!) my first doctors appointment in March 25. it seems so far away!
i've been in a daze since yesterday morning, going to the doctor somehow makes it more real. i'm in awe that this has finally happened for us! i'm so so very happy that i just want to cry all day! and i'm totally scared out of my mind!!! haha! 2 kids? whos idea was this?!? I really want it to be 2 months from now so it will all be "real" and sunken in!
Ethan will be a wonderful big brother, Matthew is already a great father and well,... i think i'm an okay Mom!
now the biggest question is... boy or girl?!

feeling: full and decent! a little tired though....
sssooo convention starts tomorrow. tomorrow night, but i have to leave my house at 8am tomorrow. since jeff is in charge of hospitality that means we are in charge of picking up speakers from the airport. hospitable of us, right?! plus we have another trip to the grocery store to do. and the fact that we have to unpack ALL of our crapola and get it into the room. so much to do!

i freaking love Breaking Benjamin.. in case i havent said it before!
oh, convention. i'm ready for it, but i'm not mentally prepared for it. we'll have late late nights and lots of "to do" stuff to see to. i honestly havent even looked at the speaker schedule! i know there are 2 that i want to go see for sure. but i'm not sure if they conflict with anything i have on my "to do" list!
we do, however, have all our competiton prints ready to go! i just got my kiddies in today for the Lil Miss & Mr competition. i just have to mount those and label them and they'll be ready too!
as for work we are still a little slow, but still have things to tend to. our poor interns have like nothing to do! most of the things we are doing take no time at all, or are albums and retouching-which inturns dont do! so i feel bad for them just sitting and twiddling their thumbs. or doing bitch work! but Jasons getting credit for it so he's good! David is just doing it for fun, and hes not here too many hours.
i had a bit of a crappy 3 days recently. one of those things where you just feel like you've been shit on over and over again throughout the day. so i didnt want to talk/vent about it. just bottle it up and all that jazz. its gotten better and i tried really hard to get a positive attitude about it and turn it around. its helped to do that. and yesterday and today have been good days. its just more things in my life to have to sort out.
ah well
the best part of my afternoon is that i'm making Jeff watch 'This Is SpinalTap' if you havent seen this movie you need to! its a silly mindless ROCKumentary about a British band! its just so random and funny, you'll be quoting it for weeks! our party theme at convention is RockStar! and i want jeff to dress as the lead singer,.. but he's never seen the movie.... so i got it from Netflix and after some downloads and upgrades to his comp it WORKS!
outtie. gotta do some work before we leave this place!
