its been a long month.
how my months have been so jam packed, i have no idea! the days are shorter and my work days are way too short! sure, i don't want to have to be here for 12 hours, but a couple extra would be okay! our senior season is slowly coming down, but now everyone wants Christmas Cards... and they want 3 different options and they want me to email them and they want to choose, but change them.... ugh!! i have templates for a reason!! i LOVE designing things like that, but not when i have a list of 20 and each person wants 3 different cards!! i dont have that kind of TIME!
that was my vent.
October has been a bitch. we had 2 weddings on the 11th. mine was a big one! but it was SO fun! and the images look great! this past weekend we had the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure that we photographed. 24,000 people in a tiny space in 40degree weather. it was a blast.... no, it was really fun! thats always a fun event, and for such a great cause! after the race i went home and put on sweats!! then i had to come back to work and download everything.
Sunday we headed to Des Moines for Fall Seminar. that, again, was an interesting event. i was excited to get out of town, even for 48 hours, and be with photographers! its always nice to talk cameras and PhotoShop and RAW's with people that know!! but, by the time dinner was over i was ready for bed and my house. sometimes i just wonder about those events. all in all it was pretty good. Mackenzie and i got our asses out of bed early to go see jaymie and mindy's talk, they were good and they are young (they went to Hawkeye with me!) so their stuff was good and made us start to think! and sometimes for Kenz and i, that is a bad thing! not for us... for our bosses!!!
fastforward...
its now November, i didnt have time to finish this post last time i worked on it.
this past week has been crazy---again! we've had things to do and places to go for about the past 5 days. on sunday i actually just stood in my living room because i actually had NOTHING to do! it was unsettling....
we took Sr pics of Regan Sarver on Friday morning and they were AWESOME! we went to DM and her and her mom pretty much gave us the freedom to do whatever we wanted! we love those clients!
saturday Matt and i went to help with Jess' habitat house. they were putting up sheet rock and there were lots of people there. we didnt get to help a ton, but i know what parts i held up! that stuff is HEAVY!! my tiny arms hardly held up! but i'm tough! i'm hoping to go help again, for at least a little bit, this saturday. i think that hopefully they are getting to a point where i can actually help and be usefull! right now i'm just a little girl that knows nothing!!
sunday i shot the Knoxville Basketball girls poster! we went to the airport(in kxville) because they have 2 little yellow planes! once Jeff gets started on the poster i'm sure it'll turn out awesome! the picture never works like it should in your head... so you have to finishing it in photoshop! after that we went to my church for the Turkey Dinner--sorry, Fall Dinner. it was good but Ethan was running to stay awake, so that was a bit annoying.
i really feel like i dont have enough time for anything. i have a list... and another list.. oh yeah, and another list of stuff that i have to get done at work then i get home and have a list there. then i have all my extra stuff, like updating the work blog and facebook page that i dont have time to do! i feel like i'm drowning in work and now it gets dark at freaking 5:00!! that doesn't help!
i'm just a whiner! now, i'm going to start on another one of those endless lists that i have!

ps. i'm going to see HANSON TOMORROW!!! wowoooooo!! they are going to be in DM for the first time in FOREVER, Heath and i are totally excited to go!!!

"yeah i can't hear much but the melody coming from you..."
doing: trying to work. all of my drives seem to be full and its slowing me down!
listening to: my ipod featuring The Damnwells! (in LOVE!)
feeling: awful. my whole body aches,.. and its a stress ache. my body is slowly closing in on itsself.... and its pretty much my fault.
this month has sucked ROYALY. and it's not just one thing, its everything! every little thing triggers something else that triggers something else. its endless. however, i do hope that once this month is over it WILL stop! i hope i hope i hope.
we have just had a ton of things going on this month. every single day, not kidding, jeffs had a shoot. its either a newly scheduled one or a rescheduled senior. then our double wedding on the 11th really killed us (both went well, but we were stressing) and the Komen Race is on the 25th. Fall Seminar is the 26th and 27th and yet more appointments until November.! we now have 2 inturns that are doing a great job at whatever we throw at them! and they are both so up beat that it keeps us grounded just having them around! fantastic is a word to describe them!
on top of all of my work stuff i have to worry about family stuff. matt and i have been pretty good for the last few weeks/months. we've just been good. until i ask for something, then it turns into something thats neither here nor there. lets just say i didnt sleep well last night. i try to impliment that "never go to bed angry" thing.... sometimes im up for quite awhile....
i'm feeling pretty anxious about the whole situation, so hopefully we'll be able to talk about it tonight, but i'm so tired of this circle that we're in. we have been doing great though. this might just be a speed bump that we have to get over.
such is life.
on a much brighter note... ETHAN TURNS 2 ON MONDAY!!! my baby boy will be TWO! and official toddler! he's growing up TOO FAST!! just recently his sentence structure has gotten better! sometimes we still can't understand him... but he tells us what he wants pretty well!
he's still a total boy, into trucks and tractors and race cars! he loves his Disney Movies too! his new favorite is Peter Pan! hopefully he'll get a few more for his birthday because he loves watching movies!!
well, now i have to go do some work. hopefully my computer will cooperate with me! they haven't been too happy about working these last couple days!

feeling: RELIEVED!
this past week has been AWFUL! last Friday i had an awful day and it stayed with me all weekend. i was just grouchy with really no reason to be. then the week went slow but fast at the same time. i had a HUGE wedding on Saturday that i was stressing over all week, so that didn't really help me! then i just kept getting nothing done at work. you know how that is? you work so hard and at the end of the day you don't feel like you've accomplished a damn thing! i hate that!
thursday came around and i had to actually start thinking about this wedding and so started the stress. i was head shooter and it was an all day wedding. we were at the church at 9 to start shooting the bride getting her hair done and i didn't leave the reception until close to 11. all day. it turned out that the day went great! great great great! everything went really smooth, people where where they were supposed to be when they were supposed to be there! it was wonderful! and i had 3 girls that helped me, shoot, organize, carry things, tear down. everything! i'm so thankful they took a saturday out to help me! i would have been totally a mess without them! i know its hard for people to take time out to do that when its not their full time job, but i hope that they had fun and feel like they got some great shots!!
the wedding was at St. Ambrose Cathedral in downtown DM. the church is amazing! pretty much anywhere you went outside or in the sacuary was a wonderful shot! after the ceremony we went to a few places downtown DM. a red walking bridge on 2nd. Court Avenue to a bar and a closed bar! we walked the wedding party down the center of the road, not Court but the road beside Dos Rios. the wedding party stopped a fire truck and we got a shot by that! then we went to the capital and did some more things there! the reception was wonderful at Hy Vee Conference Center, they do a wonderful job! dinner and cake was fab! and the dance was so fun!
i got home a little after midnight and my whole body just ached! such is standing all day. however i did find comfy shoes that i COULD stand in all day! they gave me blisters on the tops of my feet because they are a flip flop type sandal, but i can totally live with that!!
sunday morning Ethan and i packed up and headed for Panama to spend some time with my family! i have been looking forward to this for a week! that's pretty much whats been keeping me sane!! my aunt and uncle are here from Colorado so its been really fun to hang out with them!
Ethan is playing with his cousin Jason (they are 3 months apart). we've been waiting for them to get to the point where they actually play together and they finally do! they have been downstairs laughing hysterically with the older boys for the last half hour!
i think i need some more crackers and cheese dip! (we pretty much will eat all night!!)

doing: trying to work if my PShop would stay open!
listening to: 'The Get Up Kids' Pandora radio!
things have been good!
this week has been really long and i have NO desire to be here today. but its friday so that makes it better!
last month was crazy and this month isn't looking like it'll slow down at all. bummer. but its okay to be busy... i just have to get myself caught up and motivated!
first off--money-- we got into that debt program and its finally kicking in! we aren't getting constant calls from companies, none at all actually! and we've gotten all of our card statements that show lower interest rates and things getting paid! it makes me so happy!! if we keep this going we'll be out of credit card debt in 4 years or less!! *happy dance* its like a huge weight! of course, we're still living paycheck to paycheck.. but our bills aren't late anymore and we're not paying $100 to each of our 5 cards! always a good thing! i would deffinetly suggest this to anyone who is even starting to struggle! of course there is an amount that you have to be in debt, but if you are there then DO IT! its the best and easiest way to get out of credit card debt!
love -- aahh love! L-O-V-E love. hehe. yes, Matt and i are doing okay! finally and again! everyone has their bumps, but for the most part we are happy with and around each other! we don't fight (unless its about money ) and we actually like each other again! sadly, this took a long time for us to get back to, but we're there and its so much better!!
Ethan -- my baby boy will be TWO this month! ARG! where did the time go!? he's growing up too fast for me!! he's so smart and remembers anything you tell him! we've had to start spelling words around him because if you tell him your going to Gma&Gpas house later.... he thinks its now and he HAS to go! he loves trucks! trucks, tractors, buses, anything that moves. he's 150% boy! but he's also a mama's boy, which i LOVE! it makes my heart melt when he smiles and says "Hi Mommy!" we've also gotten him to do the "thank you" and "please" all the time! you still have to remind him sometimes but he's started to say "thank you" for almost everything! "thank you mommy!" i love it!!
my little family is perfect in almost every way. yeah, look for us on a Hallmark card! haha! of course i'm back to my baby fever. pretty much everyone that has a baby Ethan's age or right around there has either had another baby or is preggo! why not me?! because our house is too small, we don't have enough money, and we're not quite ready! but a tiny part of me want to have that accident that makes it happen! someday we'll be there and we can plan for it. not just yet.
okay, i'm going to try my PShop again.... hopefully it'll stay open this time!

oh.. i'm having Subway for lunch.. it sounds freaking amazing!!
